Email notifications related to the property

  • For Hotel Administrators (GM & IT Managers) and Receptionists: OpenKey only sends out the "Login Credentials" for the Hotel Administrators and “PIN number” for the receptionists via E-mail to the respective email addresses associated with them. In the case of forgotten PIN number/password or just resetting it, the Hotel Administrators/Receptionists also get an email notification with their reset link or a new PIN number.
  • For the Property: Property management will also receive email notifications if there is any scheduled maintenance for OpenKey system. Maintenance usually occurs when the lock manufacturer is running an update on their end or when OpenKey releases a new version of the Guest/Front Desk application. Usually, these updates do not affect any ability to process hard keys but will limit the ability of any mobile keys from being made for a short period of time.
